Pastor Bill and “Miss Mary” enjoy pastoring the wonderful people of JCC who are all ages and from all nations. With God’s help, Pastor Bill has guided JCC since 1989 to be poised for the days ahead in the ever-changing 21st century world.
His varied background includes steelworker, military service, small business owner, an expanding ministry necessitating church building and Presbyter in our Potomac Network Washington Region. Mary’s journey started in healthcare before marrying Bill in 1974. They have 3 children – Daniel, Michael, and Sara and 4 grandchildren.
Pastor Mike is Puerto Rican, born in New York. He has lived most of his adult life in the DMV. He started following Christ at age 14. He has been married to his wife Sonja for over 30 years. They have two amazing daughters, Emily and Rachel, two sons-in-law, Jackson and Joshua, and three grandchildren Amy, Matthew and Ariel.
They enjoy worshipping as a family and with the family of God. In his free time, Mike enjoys golfing, fishing, cycling and getting together with family and friends.
Jim and Laura met in Sunday School at Christ Chapel in Woodbridge, VA. Jim is a native Washingtonian, who began preparation for ministry while in the local church. Laura’s roots are in Texas, but she has lived in the DC area most of her life. Jim has a wide array of ministry experience, is a graduate of Regent University/ likes people (why he works with first time visitors) and enjoys teaching and writing.
He is also a General Superintendent for a General Contractor in the construction industry. Laura is a Teacher’s Assistant in the public school system. They have four adult children and have been at JCC since 2007.
Pastor Alex loves the Philadelphia Eagles and Wawa Coffee. As a Pennsylvania native he spent the majority of his childhood in Oxford, PA until moving to Beaufort, SC where he eventually met his wife Taylor and began his first Youth Pastor position at Praise Assembly. Alex enjoys gaming with friends and family.
You will find him spending quality time with his wife Taylor and his daughter Gwen on most days off. Alex has his undergraduate degree from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida with a major in Ministerial Leadership and a minor in Youth Ministry. Alex dreams of writing his own book one day and creating his own podcast about ministry and life.
Emily Nelson has been serving our JCC family since November 2013 as the Children's Ministries Director. With 25+ years in Children's Ministry, her heart is to come alongside children and their families as they grow closer to God. Emily is married to Erik Nelson who volunteers with JCC Youth and the coffee bar. They are blessed with two daughters, Elizabeth and Catherine, who also volunteer in ministries where they reside. She loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, music, reading and especially JESUS!
Jean and Brianna Pieretti are the Young Adults Minister and Worship Minister. Jean leads and oversees Kairos Young Adults and is the Director of Chi Alpha campus ministry at George Mason University. Additionally, he serves as the Creative/Music Director for Worship alongside Brianna. Brianna leads and oversees Creative Arts, including Worship, Media, and Sound. Additionally, she serves as the Young Adults and Chi Alpha Minister alongside Jean.
Brianna enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, good food, traveling, and a nice sunset. Jean enjoys good food, watching sports (go Eagles), and playing basketball.
Lynn has felt at home at Jubilee since the first time she walked through the JCC doors with her family on Easter Sunday 2001. She joined the music and office staff in 2004 and she wears many hats administratively serving the Pastors, fellow staff members and department leaders. Her husband Kerry walks alongside her in ministry working with the sound and video departments as well as jumping in to serve wherever Lynn needs help.
Kerry and Lynn have been married over 35 years and have been blessed with three children Cameron (wife Jules), Kelsey and Jordan (wife Autumn). Lynn enjoys spending time with Kerry, her grandchildren Hayes and June, sunsets, singing with her kids, reading, and quality time with her family and friends. Serving the church family and knowing Jesus has been one of her life’s biggest joys!
George and Marilyn Levar have been members of Jubilee since 1986. George has served as Treasurer since 1992 and was a Board Member for 9 years. George is also a Board Member and Treasurer of Alive Global Ministries for the last 30 years and currently serves as Treasurer at The Jerusalem Connection International.
Marilyn has worked in the church office since 1987. She has been on many missions' trips to include the Soviet Union, China, Ecuador, Micronesia and Israel.
They both went to school together from the 4th grade and met again after graduation. They were married in 1968 and have 3 married daughters and 7 grandchildren. They enjoy serving and will continue to do so as long as the Lord leads.
Acacia is originally from Buffalo NY and moved to northern VA in 2007 with her parents and two siblings. She met her husband Thomas in JCC’s youth group in 2012 when they were 13, and they married in June 2020. Acacia enjoys all things outdoors, listening to thrifted records, cooking, and spending time with Thomas. She is grateful for God’s guiding hand of goodness in her life.
