Children's Ministry
Welcome! We look forward to meeting you. Our leaders are Christian volunteers with background checks who love children . We strive to provide a safe and loving environment where children may see and hear the Word of God and the Spirit of Christ, and thereby grow more in Him- while having FUN ! - Felicia Waddell, Children's Minister, for ages birth - 6th grade.
Jubiwee - Nursery is available for children from newborn through two years old during every regular service and special services throughout the year. Parents may drop off their children 10 minutes before service and should pick them up 10 minutes after service. The goal of our Nursery Ministry is to help our children to associate God, Jesus, and the Bible with happy feelings, understand they were created by God, feel and experience God’s love for them, know that Jesus is a very special friend who loves them, think of church as a happy place where they are loved.
Preschool - is offered during the 11am service, the preschoolers check into the Life Center before being dissmissed to go to the preschool rooms upstairs where they will rotate through age-appropriate activities in worship, bible lesson, crafts and snack and play (prayer and interpersonal skills). Children return to the Life Center for play and wait for pick-up. We love seeing your children grow – spiritually and physically
RealKidz - is offered on Sunday mornings at 8:45 and 11 am. There is also Sunday school for all ages from 10:10 – 10:50 am. God’s timeless message is presented in a culturally relevant way through exegetical studies, storytelling, dramas, music, and more (Currently using the Orange curriculum). While using creative, exciting methods, we present Biblical truths that are relevant and applicable in a child’s world.
Real56– is an extension of the 11 am JCC Kids for 5th and 6th graders. These children attend a class upstairs that provides age appropriate lessons (The used curriculum is Grapple) with small group discussion.
Sunday School - Sunday School classes are from 10:10-10:50. These classes are stuctured so that the children can learn biblical truths and interact with kids their own age.
Children's Small Groups – Are offered Sunday nights at 6:00 pm, for Children between the ages of 3 and 12 in the Life Center. The purpose of our small group is to allow kids the opportunity to build relationships with their friends, leaders, and most importantly with God. In this meeting kids can come together and interact with the bible personally, by reading about kids just like them aproached with a situations all kids encounter through their young lives. The kids are able to talk about their lives and use the bible in the situations they encounter.
VOLUNTEERS
We welcome volunteers! Opportunities to serve are at all levels – small group leader, small group helper, registration, safety monitor, storyteller, games leader, craft leader, and sound/video tech, ect.
Our leaders gladly work with all new volunteers and connect them to other volunteers on a team.
